When looking at the idea of space, most individuals think about the physical space of one's setting.However, I think that space can be taken into another context.
Anything can be seen as a canvas. Paper is usual the first thing people think about when "ink" and "creation" are used in the same sentence. I would like to think that we are a human canvas.
Photo from www.types-of-flowers.orgTattoos have been around since before the time of Christ. By inserting ink into the skin pallet, we are repurposing the space of our skin. The purpose of skin has changed from keeping our internal organs together to an expression of art.
