The Future Tense was lucky enough to visit the Natural Selection exhibition curated by Elms Lester at the prestigious Millfield School in Somerset.
The exhibition included many fantastic original works by leading artists both from and associated with the global street art scene, including Jose Parla and Futura 2000.
It was great to see the next generation of talent being exposed to such cutting edge art and artists, and from looking at some of the students own works afterward, we wouldn't be surprised to see some future stars coming out of Millfield itself!
It's a little out of the way, but check it out if you can. If not, kick back and enjoy our photo's.

Not mine! But an example of something we can all aspire to. One of the pots in the Mingei exhibition at the Quai Branly Museum last year. Forgot to mark on my shotlist whether it's by Yanagi or Bernard Leach, sorry. When you look at it, it's really very simple, which was the point of the Mingei movement. Nothing to stop any of us from doing something similar, except maybe skill. : )

And another exhibition worth seeing: Dieter Rams at the Design Museum in London, 18 November 2009 - 07 March 2010.
I wish I could go there ...
The official trailer:
... and some "behind the scenes" stuff:

Tonight was the opening of an exhibition by RJ Rushmore of www.vandalog.com celebrating street art in all its various forms, from graffiti to high-end contemporary gallery work.
There was a great variety of work on show from various private collections, and most people agreed it was a welcome opportunity to attend a show solely to celebrate the medium rather than to buy or be sold to (although rumours were that some of the works were indeed for sale behind the scenes).
The night also saw the launch of a book from Drago Labs to accompany the show, which you can buy here: http://www.dragolab.com/en/books/catalogue/the-thousands
The show is open until Sunday 21st at Village Underground so make it quick if you want to see it in person.
Otherwise some pics from the launch night after the jump:
