K, not a huge fan of Stefan Raab, the Jay Leno of German Television. But I must admit I did have a few laughs watching 50 Cent on his show.

But 50's appearance was nothing compared to Eminem's performance to cha-cha-cha music.

Even Jay Z made it out to ZE german show.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. A new sensation in gaming-land. Since 4th November you are able to view the trailer on Youtube. This banging trailer comes to live thanks to the pumping beats of Eminem -Till I Collapse. A song released on May 26, 2002. Nowadays this trailer hits 5.198.399 views.

We all remember Jill Peterson and Kevin Heinz’s Wedding Entrance Dance in which we hear the song Chris Brown - Forever. Thanks to this video “Forever” has shot up to #4 on the iTunes chart and #3 on Amazon’s MP3 store and sold 50,000 downloads during the week ended July 26. (source)

Wonder if Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is going to do the same with Eminem -Till I Collapse. If we look at Google Trends, the answer is obvious.

Conclusion: Youtube boosts up music sales? Can someone tell this to SABAM?

Writing about what i thought were the best albums was quite therapeutic, somehow time passes by, we feel stuff forget about them which not actually the real issue but rather forget the lesson that had to be learned from them. So i got addicted and decided to make a list about the tracks that were on rotation not forcibly that  I loved but that I liked  enough to keep them on rotation on my list. So here we go.

1- Royksop forever - Royksoop
I am addicted to this track since the first time i heard it. Each chapter of the song if i may call them that way suprised me but yet felt so familiar. I have even said to some      friend  that i some time feel that I wrote it (note that i don't no sh*t about music). I find the song quite elevating.  It help me connect with a certain outer world more imaginary world.

2-They don't really care about us -Michael Jackson
I know the track did not came out this year, but michael diying did not only put him on top of the bilboards but encourage fans like I, to relisten and even discover his work. They don't really care about us is 2009 song for me. why I like it it so much , the drums, yeah the drums are insane!!  Michael's ecxecution! and as a plus I find  the rio video is amazing incredible colors.

3-I am on boat - The lonely island
Grand corps malade say in "avec eux" on avait un drole d'humour lourd qui faisait detaler les filles, This song will be part of my college memories forever. It reminds me of the guys,  of the fun times and of our never ending talking shit series.  key lyrics": "fuck trees I am on a boat".

4-D.O.A - Jay-Z
"I know we facing a recession but the music that you are making are gonna make it the  great depression' the whole song is quotable.  This song is a lesson not about music nor hip-hop, nor lifestyle but characther, it's gangsta, it's violent . The beat is insane , the arrangements, the lyircs. Masterpiece of a single. I can still remember hoew excited i was about the album after hearing it.

5-Blue Eyes -Mika
It's probably not the best song of the album, the lyrics are not the best, the music is not his bes, but it's flavorful, it reminds of the islands. it reminds so this songs that made me fall in love, it makes me homesick, and I appreciate even more because it's not actually an island singer. Makes it feel like our music got exported an conquered a new audience.

6-Go without me- Wax poetic
Wax poetic is one of my favorite hip-hop, trip-hop bands out there. their album did not make my list because of it's monotony but the songs them selves are insane. it's  a sadder song, it reflects resignation but the arrangements are incredible. The string are beautifull it's like the song was wriiten in a way to illustrate sadness, it eve has thos short uplifting moment that one feels when sad for a long period. it's quite a song

7-Natty dread- Victor O
I don't own this song but listen to it quie a lots on youtube, looked for it for quite sometime in montreal and stopped maybe I ll give it another try. Island music has been so disapointing to me lately that finding a song as flavorful yet original as natty Dread was like a breath of fresh air.

8-Wheels in motion - Speech Debelle feat Roots Manuva
I guess it's the production that got me , i love the use of classical instruments such as the piano in this case and some violins in Hip-Hop. I think they work well. her flow is right not too aggresive, not sweet at all, reminds me of english speaking Diam's but less aggreesive.

9-United states of Eurasia (+collateral damage) - Muse
Why ? because it's conceptual!! adressing the problem of war but also of peace  , but they make it in a quite clever fashion, blending musical style from the midlle east,  The rock  of the modern  western  anglo-saxon world , and some classical work that is associated with the cultures of the old world as I call them in a beautiful manner.  and the song ends with the sound of an airplane taking what more can I say. Great song from beginning to end.

10-Better Alone - Carolina Liar
although it's not a 2009 song, that's when i discovered this album that i truly love. This song talked to me and did not tell me happy stuff. it's like a reality check. and this why it was in rotation and this why this 2008 song finds it's way n my 2009 list .

11-Breakeven -TheScript
A friend passed by one morning, i was feeling blue, since we often share music he was like, yo listen to this! he started playing it . the melody was soothing and then the singer said : "when I am wide awake she has no trouble sleeping" And I just had a sleepless night.  Guess I got connected with it form there. made me realized how i  was falling and brought me back up. It's one of these songs I do not wish to feel what they made me feel the first time.  Never did again and i am grateful

12-Help I am alive -Metric
This songs hits me like hammer. it wakes me up, it's an energizer.

13-Us- Brother Ali
Heard that song listenning internet radio. it hitted me, looked up his myspace and heard maybe  10 time in a row , it's soulful, it's gospel, it's spiritual, it's personnal. It's a wonderful message of humanity and of love
Key lyrics : "There's no you there's no me there's only us"
"i started to rhyme to be somebody, but realized i already was"

14-Don't stop the music - Jamie Cullum
It's not his song but it's magical. It's sexy, it's sophisticated it's young, it's pop, it's jazz. Reminds me of these moments when you are syncing, wanting more an knowing it's gonna finish, it's not gonna last, it only last that one song because of life,, it's situations and its timing.

15- Nap kite'l pou yo- Mika ben
Why" Because i hated it after my first listen, because I went back to it and  because now it stuck in my head. It lacks flavor but it will sell. mika kite'l pou you?

16-Make you crazy-  Brett Dennen  ft Femi Kuti
It was the first single from his album , less acoustic than his previous work, it has more that a studio-like production was deceiving at first, , still tell a wonder full message eith all the poetic qualities of Brett. Femi Kuti adds something to the song, i just love the he say Vex. Art is to be experimented with. and this song is an example.

17-Run this town - Jay-Z ft Rhianna, Kanye West
I love this song because of Kanye's verse, the song was good but this verse is insane, it's cocky, it's not nice, it's "elitiste".

other songs on rotation:
18- Baby by me and  so direspectul- 50 cents
Why both? because they  are not special they just rotate, they are catchy and that's about it
19-Gotta- feeling- Black eyed peas
Not on my list but it was on everyone list so i hear it a lot, quite energetic song one the best b4 going out.
20- Fire burning Sean kingston
nothing special here, but pure hype ness!!

This has to be one of my favourite Eminem songs of all time.

I may possibly buy the game based just on this commercial.

But then, again I am heavily biased.
