This technique could come in handy some day.
Recently, someone took the idea of video email a step further and created an email marketing campaign that used video in a way that I hadn’t thought feasible – and it displayed properly in nearly all major email programs!
Here’s how she did it…
Take a look at this email created for the movie “Twilight” (link opens in new window).
That video trailer playing on the left-hand side? It not only works on the web page, but it works in all major email clients except Outlook 2007 (which only displays the first frame of the trailer).
In other words, it works in:
Pretty cool, no?
I've always had problems keeping the schedule and posting on blogs on a regular basis... among all the reasons and excuses the one that really stood out was the fact that you'd have to log in to your blogging platform and click on "new post", etc. You get the picture... the logging part was hard enough from the psychologic point of view... Posterous to the rescue...

We launched Printfolder as an invite bound beta the 28th of October in Estonia. After observing the activities among Printfolder users, we instantly found a behavior that needed approvement, notification emails. As we want to be able to notify customers when new offers arrive, new messages are written on the discussion board and so on, we have a rather all-round observer attached to each event. Now imagine this: you, a customer, receive an offer from 5 different print shops, where each print shop also adds a message containing additional offer details, or just a quick note letting you know about their enthusiasm about working with you. As each event triggers a mail notification, you have now received 10 emails already. Wow, that's a lot, you could even call it.. spam!
Of course, we do not want to pollute your inbox, and that's why we developed a new solution. Instead of sending you a new email as soon as you receive a message or an offer or likewise, Printfolder sends you an abridged version of your account activities, since the last email report. The abridged report could look something like this:
If there haven't been any activities, then you will of course not receive any email.
Also, you can now choose just how often you want to receive your report. This is great news as you can adjust Printfolder with respect to your ordinary workflow, not the other way around. You can choose your preferred delivery interval under your account settings:

Right now, there are three different choices:

Are you missing any option? Please let us know!
We are right now working on several improvements that we'll apply as soon as they're production ready. To stay ahead of the game, please subscribe to our blog feed.
Thank you for showing interest in Printfolder!
