Speech recognition comes free as part of Windows Vista, and is sadly a forgotten but very useful feature built right into Windows.
It is great for people who may have Repetitive Strain Injury, or dont like typing in general, or just want to get their work typed up real fast.
I, myself am a pretty fast typer, but still use speech recognition for large documents as i can get the work done much faster.
Speech Recognition in Vista can also be used for ordinary commands to actually "drive" windows such as launch programs and other ordinary operations you would do inside of Windows, however, for me personally, i have found that a little difficult to get used to. I find i am faster with the mouse. You should try it for yourself though, you might like it.
As always, if you have any questions, feel free to ask me in the Facebook Group. I'll be happy to help you.
