Neues Video belastet Beamten: Mal eben weggeschaut
Wie neue Videos zu dem Polizeiübergriff bei der "Freiheit statt Angst"-Demonstration im September in Berlin zeigen, haben die filmenden Beamten bei dem Vorfall offenbar weggeschaut. In einer Zusammenstellung, die am Freitagnachmittag vom Chaos Computer Club veröffentlicht wurde, sind zum ersten Mal auch Teile von zwei Polizeivideos zu sehen. "Die Bänder belegen, dass die Videobeamten offensichtlich gezielt die Kameras von der Gewalthandlung weggehalten haben", sagt Anwalt Johannes Eisenberg, Strafverteidiger des 37-jährigen H., der seinerzeit von Polizisten niedergeschlagen wurde. Eisenberg hat sechs verschiedene Videos professionell synchronisieren lassen; vier stammen von Demonstranten, zwei von der Polizei. Sie wurden so nebeneinandergestellt, dass sie das Geschehen gleichzeitig aus verschiedenen Perspektiven zeigen.
Das wird ja immer spannender. Da verprügeln Polizisten einen harmlosen Demonstraten - und was machen die filmenden Polizeibeamten, die solche Vorfälle eigentlich dokumentieren sollen? Sie schauen weg. Das nenne ich ja mal vorbildliches Verhalten. Unglaublich sowas...

These so-called "spotter cards" are issued by police to identify individuals they consider to be potential troublemakers because they have appeared at a number of demonstrations.
The photographs are drawn from police intelligence files. This card was apparently dropped at a demonstration against Britain's largest arms fair in 2005.
Berliner Polizei - Polizisten bekommen Namen oder Nummer an die Brust
Die rund 16.000 Berliner Polizisten im Vollzugsdienst sollen vom kommenden Jahr an eine persönliche Kennzeichnung mit Namen oder Nummer tragen. Die Beamten sollen allerdings wählen können, ob sie ihren Nachnamen oder ihre Dienstnummer an die Brust heften. Die Neuerung soll im Zuge der Umstellung auf blaue Dienstuniformen erfolgen, sagte Polizeisprecher Thomas Goldack. „Wir haben nichts dagegen, dass Polizeibeamte als öffentliche Amtsträger mit Klarnamen zu erkennen sind“, sagte Anja-Maria Gardain, Sprecherin des Berliner Datenschutzbeauftragten Alexander Dix.

Google Fast Flip demonstration from the couch
If you wondered what all the hype is surrounding Google's new web app, Google Fast Flip, then look no further. Here I run through the basics of this app and demonstrate how Google have managed to find middle ground between online news content and RSS. What's noticeable is how any display advertorial content has been removed from the thumb views (small and large) yet they manage to keep their ads in tact (as you'd expect).
Personally, I like it and will start to use it more than my RSS reader... for now that is.

Ursprünglich war "Blauhemd" ein stiller, junger Mann, der ziemlich derbe von der Polizei auf’s Maul bekommt, worüber die Wellen der Empörung hoch schlagen. Prinzipiell sogar zu recht, sollte die Gewalt nicht gerechtfertigt gewesen sein. Im Nachhinein erscheint er zumindest als jemand, der doch vielleicht nicht so hilflos ist… und ich frage mich… ich frage mich, ob die Empörung diese Wellen geschlagen hätte, wären die anderen Videos vorher bekannt gewesen.

Mir sind die Videos mittlerweile auch bekannt - ich bleibe trotzdem bei meiner Meinung. Wegen einer unverwechselbaren Stimme oder weil der Radfahrer *vielleicht* ein Großmaul ist, darf ihn die Staatsgewalt trotzdem nicht verprügeln. Wo kämen wir denn dahin, wenn wir argumentieren - "ach, der Störenfried schon wieder, der braucht das". Mal überspitzt dargestellt.
