A Vietnamese man dug up his wife's corpse and slept beside it for five years because he wanted to hug her in bed, it has been reported.

 Published: 11:30PM GMT 26 Nov 2009

The 55-year-old man from a small town in the central province of Quang Nam opened up his wife's grave in 2004, moulded clay around the remains to give the figure of a woman, put clothes on her and then placed her in his bed, Vietnamnet.vn said.

The man, Le Van, told the website that after his wife died in 2003 he slept on top of her grave, but about 20 months later he worried about rain, wind and cold, so he decided to dig a tunnel into the grave "to sleep with her".

His children found out, though, and prevented him from going to the grave. So one night in November 2004 he dug up his wife's remains and took them home, Vietnamnet reported.

The father of seven said neighbours did not dare visit the house for several years.

"I'm a person that does things differently. I'm not like normal people," he was quoted as saying.

Real life background: my partner woke me up and left my house to do a few errands. I fell asleep while he was gone and my dream was a continuation of what I would have been doing plus the added surrealism of dreams.

I looked at my stereo clock and instead of it not being set, it was keeping tabs on when my partner was going to return, like a reverse timer.

I woke up and went into the kitchen of the house I now live in. I opened the fridge and in it was a can of wakame soy beans. I was thrilled. I took the can out and it was some weird gourmet sort of thing - there were indentations on the can to tell me who the can had been prepared by - a Christopher. The can had a ring pull. I opened it and to my disappointment, the can was not full of lush edamame-type soy beans in their glistening pods, but dried lentils, yellow and green. I looked for a container to put them into.

As I was wrestling with my gourmet beans, my partner was fixing my father's computer and I was thrilled with him. We might have high-fived because fixing my father's computer is semi-naughty given my father doesn't want to admit there is an awful lot of shit on his computer (in real life). I then told him I would try reading 75 books next year, if 50 books this year wasn't too much of a challenge.

I exited the patio door. Outside were people, flashing massive post-it notes - messages to people. I had one from my friend Katie. It was a really sweet message. I shouted to the crowd that I was the person the message was intended for, but no one seemed impressed.

I headed back in, and me, my partner and my mother sat down on the sunroom couch to watch an episode of Felicity where two couples on the plane are seated next to each others' partners. A child dies on the plane and has to cremated, no funeral. His grandparents and parents are devastated.

Some old stuff.

Nice moment with funny feeling. Like flying. Was it flying? Maybe. Then meadow. Candies. Market. A man. The one is was looking for. I don't remember what we have been talking about. Then broom. Huge, very huge. Fly to castle. (Here something like: OMG, it was so amazing! WOW!). Storm. Probably first time I wasn't afraid of it.
Later... plaza. Cobbled streets. Something in the air, perhaps magic. Colours.
Then murder on cemetery. Little mess with court. Funny feeling and memories. Then R. appeared.
Why him? Just because he is everywhere? Or maybe he could help?

Again the man from market. He was so smart...
He took us to restaurant. We ate shrimps - made from ice cream and chocolate. (Probably second time in my dreams when these shrimps appeared). Later conversation. And another one.
Hotel room. Vitamins. More shrimps. Few kisses. R. and me. Normal things... Then just brainwave. And run to the library. Quick and quiet studies.
And solution. So simple - The necromancer. Just like that.
The battle.
Winner, police, return.

The end.

Actually, I don't remember why I called it "In luster of snow". Maybe just because of Catherine Webb. Or maybe just too much playing with dictionary.

2 CHRONICLES 33 "MANASSEH REIGNS IN JUDAH; MANAESSEH RESTORED AFTER REPENTANCE; DEATH of MANASSEH; AMON's REIGN & DEATH" recorded for your spiritual enrichment by vanderKOK 33:1 Manasseh Reigns in Judah (2 Kings 21:1-9) Manasseh was twelve years old when he became king, and he reigned fifty-five years in Jerusalem. 2 But he did evil in the sight of the LORD, according to the abominations of the nations whom the LORD had cast out before the children of Israel. 3 For he rebuilt the high places which Hezekiah his father had broken down; he raised up altars for the Baals, and made wooden images; and he worshiped all the host of heaven and served them. 4 He also built altars in the house of the LORD, of which the LORD had said,"In Jerusalem shall My name be forever." 5 And he built altars for all the host of heaven in the two courts of the house of the LORD. 6 Also he caused his sons to pass through the fire in the Valley of the Son of Hinnom; he practiced soothsaying, used witchcraft and sorcery, and consulted mediums and spiritists. He did much evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke Him to anger. 7 He even set a carved image, the idol which he had made, in the house of God, of which God had said to David and to Solomon his son,"In this house and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, I will put My name forever; 8 and I will not again remove the foot of Israel from the land which I have appointed for your fathers — only if they are careful to do all that I have commanded them, according to the whole law and the statutes and the ordinances by the hand of Moses." 9 So Manasseh seduced Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem to do more evil than the nations whom the LORD had destroyed before the children of Israel. 10 Manasseh Restored After Repentance And the LORD spoke to Manasseh and his people, but they would not listen. 11 Therefore the LORD brought upon them the captains of the army of the king of Assyria, who took Manasseh with hooks, bound him with bronze fetters, and carried him off to Babylon. 12 Now when he was in affliction, he implored the LORD his God, and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers, 13 and prayed to Him; and He received his entreaty, heard his supplication, and brought him back to Jerusalem into his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that the LORD was God. 14 After this he built a wall outside the City of David on the west side of Gihon, in the valley, as far as the entrance of the Fish Gate; and it enclosed Ophel, and he raised it to a very great height. Then he put military captains in all the fortified cities of Judah. 15 He took away the foreign gods and the idol from the house of the LORD, and all the altars that he had built in the mount of the house of the LORD and in Jerusalem; and he cast them out of the city. 16 He also repaired the altar of the LORD, sacrificed peace offerings and thank offerings on it, and commanded Judah to serve the LORD God of Israel. 17 Nevertheless the people still sacrificed on the high places, but only to the LORD their God. 18 Death of Manasseh (2 Kings 21:17,18) Now the rest of the acts of Manasseh, his prayer to his God, and the words of the seers who spoke to him in the name of the LORD God of Israel, indeed they are written in the book of the kings of Israel. 19 Also his prayer and how God received his entreaty, and all his sin and trespass, and the sites where he built high places and set up wooden images and carved images, before he was humbled, indeed they are written among the sayings of Hozai. 20 So Manasseh rested with his fathers, and they buried him in his own house. Then his son Amon reigned in his place. 21 Amon's Reign and Death (2 Kings 21:19-26) Amon was twenty-two years old when he became king, and he reigned two years in Jerusalem. 22 But he did evil in the sight of the LORD, as his father Manasseh had done; for Amon sacrificed to all the carved images which his father Manasseh had made, and served them. 23 And he did not humble himself before the LORD, as his father Manasseh had humbled himself; but Amon trespassed more and more. 24 Then his servants conspired against him, and killed him in his own house. 25 But the people of the land executed all those who had conspired against King Amon. Then the people of the land made his son Josiah king in his place. NKJV

My dreams are getting more convoluted. This could mean something...

There was some kind of party at my house which was stripped - of furniture, wires, pictures hanging on the wall. In some parts of the house, the walls were completely knocked out. The party was for me, but my brother invited a whole bunch of his friends who turned out to be really nice. Everybody got very drunk. People wrote on the shorts I was wearing, and I didn't even realise. Every now and then I would be jokingly chased by a boy and run towards my partner to save me. There was a food fight in one part of the house. I saw what looked like cheese and chickpeas in a puddle and even against my better judgement, put a finger in the dip to taste it, even though it was a hot day.

We were all wild. We hung off exposed beams and ripped wires out of the walls. My father was pretty mad. He said everyone was so polite, till they got drunk.

My brother tried to come into my skeleton of a room. All my things were packed up into Victorian furniture. I pulled my laptop out. I told him to get out. He wouldn't listen, so I started to bludgeon him with a vintage mirror. Eventually, he left.

* * *

This gave way to some sort of ancient Greek mythological setting. I was watching a wall, overgrown with ivy and other things. It would shift and change, as if to 'refresh' itself, in panels.

There were two Greek gods, a female and male. The female told the male to be still so she could go into his body to heal him in a certain place. Later on, she had a child. I was that child, and grew up to be beautiful. I had a purpose to serve. Once I served my purpose, three other gods bludgeoned me to death and my mother was furious. I consumed BPAL imps - literally, glass and all. I was able to chew on them. I was worried that eating them meant I wasn't getting to sample them.

* * *

In another setting, this time with my parents and some other people. We are on some sort of camp, and it's set in the outback on a hill. I meet a boy, whose parents snub me. I offer to shake their hands but they start to make fun of me, and my apparent high-falutin ways, even though I am just trying to be friendly. The boy is so embarrassed. I start screaming at my mother, and telling her why I prefer to talk to my father over her. We all hop on a weird train, and the boy follows me.

I turn into a beautiful girl, with fair skin, blonde hair and large blue eyes. He falls in love with me and sets fire to a man who looks like Craig McLachlan in order to win my love. I am distraught. He tries to carry the charred body away for me. He is hospitalised, and I can't even visit him or touch him because he is so burnt. I am disgusted.

Girls dive into a green pool to fundraise, for what I'm not sure. The boy's parents drive into a hazard but no one misses them because they are so horrible and right-wing.
