"Crazy Time" Is Over!
I do not celebrate Daylight Saving Time. I am not alone. It is my opinion that it is an arbitrarily difficult solution to a non-problem. I refuse to participate and have not done so for the past two years (2008, 2009).
Unfortunately, just ignoring Daylight Saving Time (aka Crazy Time, Summer Time or Civil Time) is not really an option in Texas. Prefacing answers to chronological queries with "You people seem to think that it is [the current, adjusted time]" is counter-productive and could be construed as inconsiderate, rude or elitist. I'm just glad that it's over for this year. Maybe one day the "wasted summer morning" problem can be addressed in a more inclusive, logical manner. I certainly hope so.
