Amazing chocolate, and as the statement that adorns every package might suggest: square, practical, good. Quadratisch. Praktisch. Gut. Good enough for house construction anyways.

The Angry Whopper; I've got some good memories associated with this burger. This particular Whopper is enchanced by the support of jalapeno poppers which lends a certain zest to the whole experience. These were in Germany a year or so ago, where my friends and I enjoyed perhaps a few too many of them. All that said, when I walked by this sign today I couldn't help but snap a quick picture, and I won't lie, it took more than a bit of self-restraint to not purchase one.

My body thanked me.

Its been a great couple of days here in the Bay Area. Have managed to attend a graduation party bash thrown in honor of my girlfriend and her sister finishing college and high school respectively, spend a day wandering the hills and valleys of San Francisco, and bum around the Santa Cruz boardwalk for an afternoon. Unfortunately I can't upload any pictures yet, as I forgot to pack my camera cable. Today is a day of rest, then hoping to make it down to Carmel-by-the-Sea tomorrow to visit my Great Uncle.

Currently my body is still hurting from the excessive amount of deep fried delicacies that I consumed yesterday at the boardwalk. Deep friend artichoke hearts, zucchini and mushrooms. Followed up by an all-too-large corn dog. Oh, and the appetizer had been garlic fries. Feels painful to even write that. Thankfully my rational side suddenly decided to present itself before deep fried Twinkies were purchased for dessert. It was a close one.

Been back just about a week now -- my time thus far has been dominated by trips to IKEA, visiting family and signing a deal with the devil (AT&T). Figured it was time to unwind a bit, and celebrate my return to America properly...with some finger lickin' good BBQ. Conveniently enough, the Phantom Gourmet -- Boston's homegrown food critic -- was throwing a huge BBQ party out in Suffolk Downs at the end of the Blue Line this last weekend. So off we went, four brave gastronomical explorers, @dkruta, @tanyavell, @ericblank. A couple hours, and too many meat dishes to remember, later my friends and I staggered out of the grounds with stomachs filled to bursting with some of the tastiest BBQ I have ever had the pleasure of sinking my teeth into. We are talking professional teams here, hailing from Texas, Tennessee, Arkansas, Australia, etc. Just incredible. Will most certainly keep this event in mind for next year, as its an annual event.

At this point its clear that at least as far as my stomach is concerned; it's good to be back in America.
