This chocolate chip cookie recipe handles the butter ingredient a little differently, you must melt it before adding to the mixture. The other main difference is the ratio of brown and white sugar.
Cookies seem essential right now.
I have a quirky habit of cooking when I'm not feeling all that awesome. Cooking is really wonderful for that. It's distracting, it takes a while, it's challenging. And you have to hope that the end result will be delish. Never mind that I'm notoriously bad at cooking.
So last night's 2:30 AM brown sugar cinnamon pancakes were roughly what I needed to keep me entertained and fill me up. So what if the fill up is sugar and carbs?
Cooking is slightly different these days though, thanks to Bates. He mews the entire time. "Oh you're cooking, are you? For me? Why you shouldn't have! Mew!"
I find myself replying often. "CAT. No. Mine."
Today's conversation involved me picking him up and explaining, "Cookies not for baby kittens. Cookies for big kittens."
Cookie then says, "Chin up, girl."
Oneness Thinking
Children were lined up in the cafeteria of a Catholic school for lunch. At the head of the table was a large pile of apples. The nun made a note, "Take only one, God is watching."
God is Watching
At the other end of the table was a large pile of chocolate chip cookies. Moving through the line a boy wrote another note to leave by the cookies, "Take all you want, God is watching the apples."
