Panoramic Landscape Bruges

Bruges is one the eldest cities in Europe, and it's straight stunning that they have been able to keep the spirit of the old city for such a long time.
This panoramic landscape picture of Bruges is taken at night with the beautiful city light in the central market.
It is in the centre of Bruges with plenty of bars and restaurants..

I hope that you guys like this night panoramic landscape from Bruges and let me know in the comments what you think..

Cheers

Our last post for Bruges, and the Interlude!

We left Bruges in the afternoon; so beforehand we wanted to take the 30-minute boat tour around the city, for our last activity.

And so concludes an Interlude of this trip in Spain. How did I spent the flight back? Journaling of course ;). What a wonderful blessing! The Lord is good to His children, to those who call on Him and trust in Him.

Now back to Granada...

Though the 'Madonna with Child' is probably what most visitors come to this certain cathedral for, I was really drawn this work of art.

You have to really read this to enjoy the work:

The shepherds:

Rachel weeping for her children:

The comma, instead of a period. The comma representing how death is just a pause, not the end (as a period would signify).

Moses waiting for God's salvation:

We're in Belgium, I had to have a Framboise:

"Holy Blood." The little capsule is said to hold the blood of Jesus Christ.

"The Jerusalem Church." Probably the creepiest cathedral I've visited, and the fact that the merchant (the builder) and his family are buried there too helps. Actually, the creepiest place of the Church was the little version of Jesus' grave at the end of this gallery.

The Belfry Tower, highest point in Bruges. See the top room above the clock? That's where we're headed.

The Lace Museum! This one actually caught us off guard, we meant to enter the Jerusalem Church, but stumbled into this. It was a beautiful interruption nonetheless. Everything is handmade, as you will see...

Bruges! ¡Bienvenido a Bruges!

My personal favorite of the three cities we visited, even more so than Paris (but then again, we really didn't get to scratch the surface of Paris).

I love Bruges because it's small, intimate, and an escape from the big cities. Also named the "Venice of the north" because of its aquatic nature, as you'll see. :)

Did I explain how buildings are connected together in Belgium?

The cathedral at the end of the road was our first destination, the "Jerusalem Church."

In Bruges. What a brilliant movie. Just finished the DVD - I think I'm going to have to buy me a copy.. The extras are also very good. And dark. And funny.

Here's a bit more from Wikipedia if your interested.
