So ummm I guess its kinda cliche so I'll skip the reasons why Quincy is my favorite producer/composer of all time. I mean he is ubiquitous with some of the greatest records, movie themes and albums of all time and has been a game changer in music for decades. From being a founding father and avid supporter of hip hop (Yup check the interview below he believed in it before it was even viewed as a commercially viable genre or business) to adding a lil soul to Frank Sinatra to "Big Girls Don't Cry" to MJ, Quincy is the blueprint of modern music.

Without further ado here is the story of the James Brown of Producing Mr Quincy Jones as told by none other than Mr Quincy Jones:

Nouvelle Vague is a French musical collective led by musicians Marc Collin and Olivier Libaux. Their name is a play on words, meaning "new wave" in French. This refers simultaneously to their "Frenchness" and "artiness" (the '60s new wave of cult French cinema), the source of their songs (all covers of punk rock, post-punk, and New Wave songs), and their use of '60s bossa nova-style arrangements ("bossa nova" being Portuguese for "new wave").
