Well look at that, I managed to get through the entire comic without making any jokes about how the weapons in the game are all crap.

If you look in the refrigerators around Pandora, you'll find a lot of guns. And in the toilets you find bullets. So it's also possible that the inhabitants simply eat guns.I don't know. This entire line of thinking has made me very uncomfortable.

Strangely, this is exactly how I pictured the ecology of Pandora to work. Thus, when my Bloodwing "knocks more items out of targets," it's ACTUALLY just taking a huge multi-item shit on them. And then, I salvage it.
