One of my professors talked about how using a certain pen that you love can help with creativity. The way I just said it, it seems stupid, but it does have some merit. I haven't been able to find a single pen I really like until yesterday. I was sitting in class, sun shining through a window right onto my desk. I had a Bic Cristal pen in my hand and realized when I twisted the pen, it had a disco ball effect. It was awesome! I found the perfect pen for me. Aside from the awesome prismation, it writes very well, doesn't break easily (a plus for me), and a pack of ten only costs a dollar!

One of my favorite movie effects, when Dick Van Dyke makes his pants penguin-y in Mary Poppins:

Tryst

Does anybody actually keep a diary with the intent for it to never be read?

Classical music, when understood, is a great source of entertainment. I just bought Handel's Messiah (2 Disc) performed by the London Philharmonic for like $3 on Amazon MP3. I'm really glad I took a music appreciation class this semester.

The day of the week doesn't matter to me because I'm just as busy on weekends.

I think I'm going to be getting two pet turtles (ones that swim) soon. They're a big responsibility though. They live fifty years. I'll get two so they don't have to be lonely.

I better get to bed.

You should make a hand-turkey for Thanksgiving. I made one. I'll post a picture soon! GLITTER!!!

I'll never forget the months in elementary school where grade seven students became aware of physics became aware of the power of compressed air. I have no idea who passed down the sacred knowledge of the Bic Pen Orange Peel Gun, but it surely was the bane of many a teacher's existence at my school. It was MacGyver before the show existed. They actually banned oranges for a short period of time from lunches because they were finding mini orange peel bullets everywhere - plus, it was easier to ban orange peel than pens. You would be shocked at how much fun these could be in a school that was designed "open-concept". One could launch peel from the Grade One area to the Grade Six area with a proper arc and sufficient thrust... sorry... that sounded dirty. I hope my indiscretion didn't cause this post to lose its "ap-peel".

The Weapon:

One Bic Pen (see below) - although not essential, it was often preferable to have the pen with the small hole half way up the casing to help ease the pneumatic effect when loading. It could be easily covered to ensure full pressure upon firing.

The Ammo:

One Orange Peel (see below) - the thicker the peel, the better. Remember, the ammo has to hold the air in the cylinder when plunged.

Instructions:

Luckily enough, someone else beat me to it. So YouTube, bring it on home.

Since 1938 schools, offices and homes around the world have used the Ballpoint pen with the majority being made by BiC who first patented the device all those years ago. In the current economic climate we can't forget that cutting costs on everyday items musn't be overlooked. So take a look at the difference in price between some of the leading online stationery suppliers.

We've done a quick comparison on BiC Ballpoint pens, and some competitors and the cheapest price we could find is Integrated Office Supplies who are selling a Pack of 50 - White Box Pack of 50 Ball Point Pens for £1.20. That's only 0.2p per pen! As you can see below that's 74% cheaper than Euroffice and represents a saving of £11.61 (91%)when compared to the BiC Ballpoint originals.

BiC Cristal Medium Black [Pack of 50] - RRP - £12.81
----------

5 Star (Spicers) - Product Code 295187 RRP £9.13
