Artists are reluctant to let their team shape and mold their brand and often cite a desire to not "sell out" and be commercialized. Usually they list the standard "rebellious" artist who's having commercial success the irony is that these are usually the most overdone artists. Lady Gaga is a perfect example here she is before the marketing dollars.
