dream, Tue 13/10/09

Just before waking up, I had a dream that I was awake, in my bed. In the darkness, I felt my cat jump on my bed, and snuggle up next to me. Eventually, he crawled under my quilt. It was odd because I didn't hear him open my door (which he can do).

Before that, I was raking up a garden that had these weird white lettuces that weren't healthy. The garden was submerged in water and apparently these lettuces were some sort of disease in the garden. I was scared when I saw ivy as I didn't want to come across snakes that might have been hiding in it.

Spying on your Neighbors

I work in a building that's first surrounded by residential buildings then other buildings with companies situated in them. The thing with Tribeca is so many of these buildings were once artist pads so you have a mix of the culture. What you also have are private apartments you wouldn't know existed unless your company's work floor is on the same floor as the adjacent apartment. So you get a slight bit of insight into other people's biz. Me personally, don't want people intruding on my biz, but i also don't have curtains either, so if you were to catch me butt naked, I wouldn't really be mad at you as much as I would be mad at myself. Believe it or not a lot of New Yorkers actually go curtain/drapeless. Jay Z lives in the building adjacent to my work and his pad is fairly eye level but I've yet to spot him or his lights on

my new apartment

This past weekend I finally moved into my new apartment. It was a real pain in the butt to get all of my stuff moved out of my storage unit and into this place but in the end it will be worth it. My friend Kayla and I got a 2-story, 2-bedroom, 2.5-bath townhouse just across the street from Grand Valley State University and we already love it!

 Here are pictures of our living room, kitchen, my bedroom and my bathroom, which is located in my bedroom.
