Quick Thoughts!
As I prepare for bed...
Being a recollection of inspirations that waltzed through my mind during this morning's worship gathering at blc.

Joanna - the steadiest percussionist I know personally. I've told her so enough times to embarrass her, I think ;).

It is inspiring to see people worship wholeheartedly.

It is inspiring to see cutesy-wutesy babies in the worship gathering.

It is inspiring to hear the strains of the violin.

It is inspiring to see people worship.
When you know their stories. When you know the pain they feel and the trouble they face.
And when you see them worship anyway - it is inspiring.

It is inspiring to see people behind the scenes, keeping things up front running well.

My community of faith inspires me.

No clown suit, no loud music, no jumping around. Just children enraptured with the message.

And almost all the adults ;).

How'd I feel about today's First Worship Gathering of blc at the Luther Centre?

1. It sure ain't as homey.

1.1. But as long as the homies are there, it's home.

2. It was nice to have so many visitors. I think almost half the crowd were visitors. Probably not that much, but it sure felt like that!

2.1. At the coffee before the worship service, it sure felt like there were more visitors than members!

2.1.1. I think that might have to do with the fact that the regulars showed up later than the visitors ;).

3. At least, with coffee at 10.30, almost everyone was there by the time the worship proper started, haha.

3.1. I think chatting and borak-borak is an integral part of worship.

3.2. As is coffee.

4. Photos are here! http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=124828&id=600721057

4.1. I realise that I need to take a lot more photos. After eliminating the rejects, I'm only left with 13!

I love the ampleness of the seats at Luther Centre chapel. I think we
should pull off the plastic wrap from the armrests, tho!

Another fun evening. Trivia: Our last gathering at The Father's House for now...

Check out the captions on my Facebook album page: http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=124549&id=600721057&l=3590473ccc

(There are 33 photos there, but only 3 got uploaded here. I don't know if it's Gmail or Posterous' fault, but you can see 'em all on Facebook.)

We are finally moving out of BLC Bangsar premises, and settling at Luther Centre’s Chapel for a while. This is to prepare for the anticipated renovation in Bangsar premises.

So from this Sunday of October 4, 2009,  onwards, the nomads of BLC will start congregating at Luther Centre’ Chapel. It’s located on the Lower Ground Level of Luther Centre.

Venue: Chapel, Lower Ground, Luther Centre, No. 4 Jalan Utara, Petaling Jaya.
Time: 10.30 am, kicking off with coffee and tea.

Come to meet each other, catch up and also get to know our guests from overseas.

See you at Luther Centre. Please spread the word around to avoid people turning up at Bangsar. Have fun.

A note from blc's Administrator aka "my wife".

I understand Naomi will be serving the antidote to mooncake ingestion - real brewed Chinese tea!

(Not blue tea, G.)

It's an open event, so if you're reading this - you're invited!

A quick missive before I nod off to bed...

Today was the final (for now) worship gathering of Bangsar Lutheran Church at The Father's House.
For the near future, Bangsar Lutheran Church will - ironically - gather in PJ.

The Father's House is being renovated to accommodate more people.
In the meantime, we will be at the new Luther Centre, which accommodates more people as-is.

Here are some photos of today's happenings.
I'll see if I can caption them. I haven't tried a mass upload of photos via Posterous before!
[Okay, so you can't caption individual photos that you uploaded as email attachments. But be not dismayed, fair blog reader, for thou mayest yet behold these photos on yon Facebook album page at http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=123451&id=600721057&l=5816a8c2e9
(It's significantly later now, since I first posted this blog post.)]

This is our weather-beaten, termite-eaten, much-loved wooden signboard.
If you look behind, you'll see it's being held together by duct tape.
Our newer, plastic, (cheesy) signboard was stolen.
(Some of us were happy to see it go, haha. Shh...)

Monte's @ bsc is back!

Actually, they've been back since they reopened after renovations, in July. They just didn't tell us. Well, they never took our numbers. But come to think of it, they would have our numbers from their reservation log!

Other than that fail, we were very glad to see the ol' faces, with a new concept to the interior. Less cowboy, more urban. With potted ferns galore. Nice.

Seth is a mini celebrity there, since steak was one of the things Adeline could take well during her pregnancy.i think we ate there every other week, sometimes weekly. (Daddy did not complain about this pregnancy craving.)

And then we found that it's something Seth likes too, when he started taking solids! (Again, no complaints!)

And their steak lunch set only went up by one ringgit.

Recommended if you like clean tasting steak. (Also surf and turf!)
