Turquoise Transports us to an Exciting, Tropical Paradise While Offering a Sense of Protection and Healing in Stressful Times
via pantone.com

Turquoise is a fascinating color/colour (will use Color from now on no offense.) The gemstone was used by Ancient Egyptians to adorn Tutankhamun's Mask.

The blue comes from copper and green from iron. The most exquisite ones are found in northern Iran it is skyblue. "Turquoise affords protection and joie de vivre."

Performing a Google Images search, I found about 7,570,000 images. You'll find Andy Warhol's Turquoise Marilyn Monroe repeatedly.

According to Tineye this iconic image has been found 809 times
According to Google Labs Image Similarity engine, there are about 139,000 images/knockoffs

It's a lovely color so I thought let me see what my favorite color pattern mathing site says www.colourlovers.com and in the results I found this

Which is reminds of Twitter colors

I loved the combination of Turquoise, Coffee Brown and Sugar white.

Turquoise tips from Top Designers:

Lilly Pulitzer's Schoenborn calls it a "buy now, wear anywhere color" because in cooler months it pairs with black and navy, and in the spring and summer it can be worn with white or coral.

In the home, introduce turquoise through paint, Moss advises. Paint the walls of a room — or just one — or even the ceiling, she says. Painting the insides of bookshelves will give a pop.

Moss also likes turquoise as the piping on a white couch or as a lampshade or tableskirt.

Textile quality is an issue with turquoise, says Hilfiger. It can be very luxe looking in the right fabric, but it risks looking cheap in a bad one.

Pantone's Eiseman sees it as a potential complement to the yellow-greens that have recently been popular.

If the idea of turquoise eye makeup is too scary, Eiseman says you'll get the same effect with a darker teal.

As a commercial and stock photographer, I try to be ahead of trends and make my work much more visible and discoverable. A quick search into photographs tagged with Turquoise from Gettys collection on Flickr produced 69 photos.

As a documentary photographer, the color's meaning and gemstone history can help in communicating your story... So think about Turquiose. Make it more than just a Pantone color of 2010...

I know a lot of people may not appreciate me saying this.

America took all of its bad values, lack of brains and inability to become emotionally attached, and put them in a container.

That container became Lady Gaga.

She's terrible. Her lyrics are shallow, her face is always covered, her body is always exposed and she is a huge success.

I've noticed that Lady Gaga has become more popular than I've ever seen a music celebrity. Worse, she's the epitome of immorality.

I always thought we, Americans, had ourselves in check. I thought we understood that sex, looks, drugs and money weren't everything. I'm not sure what to think now that Lady Gaga is practically the most famous thing in America right now.

I thought we were somewhat careful about being role models to children. Lady Gaga said screw that.

It's almost inhumane.

This scares and baffles me. I hope Lady Gaga isn't a sign of our future, but many people are already idolizing this woman.

I just keep thinking about how similar we are to the Ancient Romans just before their collapse.

I hope Lady Gaga doesn't influence too many people; that's all.

The only reason I have time to post right now is that I don't have enough time to start working on something else before I go to bed.

Hilarious Twitter: big_ben_clock ...it goes "BONG" at every hour.

I don't understand why people don't reply to e-mail or Facebook messages. My job involves getting in contact with lots of people, and for some reason people think that if they are contacted (by me, anyway) in an e-mail or Facebook message, they don't need to respond. I don't understand how people can do that. It befuddles me.

I've been so busy that I can't keep track of stuff. I didn't really mind losing my keys, my pen, spare change, etc. When I lost my chapstick. I WAS PISSED.

The ancient Romans would binge and purge during meals just so that they could eat more. They LOVED to eat. And they wanted to be fat.

Daniel Dobbins.

If I was dating a girl as hot as Shakira, I would not be in college.

I've been noticing that, for some odd reason, my handwriting has been looking a lot like my mom's lately.

I'm listening to my Mozart channel on Pandora radio right now. When I'm typing and an epic part of a song starts playing, I feel like my typing is so important; haha. It's like I'm in a movie or something.

Over and out.

Funny cartoon but really what were the requirements that were given to the leaders who built the Pyramids?

We know what the Egyptians and Pharaohs believed that life after death with possible after being mummified. They can live forever so long they had food and furniture and other tools needed in regular life.

Another requirement was to ensure that they were secure from tomb raiders. Yet, the tombs were accessed via tunnels for priests to visit and pray.

What's fascinating as well is the astronomical alignment of the Pyramids.

I wonder how did the leader/manager/chief of staff started? How much time did they spend with the priests that defined the requirements? What about the requirements that were communicated to the masons?

"Everything that exists is connected by a subtle web of energy. It responds to human emotion.

"Are miracles possible? Watch this interview with Gregg Braden to find out.
Dr. Mercola''s Comments
Dr. Mercola's Comments:"I find it quite exciting that science and spirituality are now coming together.
"It is beginning to look like the ancient humans were right about how the universe works—it just took science a while to catch up.
"What Vladimir Poponin proved in his experiments is that your DNA can and does directly affect your physical world. This is what the Law of Attraction proponents have been saying for more than a century.

"In the above video, Gregg Braden discusses the first of three experiments about the newly “discovered” web of energy that surrounds and occupies us all. The two other experiments he mentioned are even more compelling and should draw the attention of even the most skeptical minds.

“Find something to be happy about every day, and every hour if possible, moment to moment, even if only for a few minutes. This is the easiest and best protection we can have.”--Gregg Braden
"In those words lies the possibility for true miracles."

Disease in the body isn’t just caused by germs. More and more we are learning that mental, emotional and spiritual states can greatly influence our health. If something in our lives is out of balance, our physical well-being is at risk.

Perhaps you have been in several troublesome relationships, or have a profound sadness gnawing at your heart, or maybe you experience a deep and elusive fear that comes from nowhere. We now know that if these situations persist, you have a strong likelihood of becoming ill.

For centuries, Eastern and Western spiritual adepts have used a secret tool to promote positive, healing energy. Called the violet flame, it is an invisible, spiritual energy that appears violet to those who have developed their spiritual vision. It is not necessary to actually see the violet flame for it to work. For those who know how to use it, the violet flame changes negative energy into positive, which makes it an effective tool for healing.  And, just about anyone can learn how to use it to improve any aspect of life.

Violet-Flame-Chalice-Summit-Lighthouse

Specific training on how to use the violet flame to heal the body, mind and spirit is featured in The Sacred Adventure Series from Summit University Press. The Spiritual Quest (Book 1) and Meeting the Masters (Book 2) are easy home study courses for individuals or small groups. Included is a CD with guided meditations, color visualizations, exercises, powerful tools and practical applications.

If earth is a schoolroom, as new-agers and sagacious ones of old suggest, then where is the study course?

The Sacred Adventures Series provides one promising possibility. The series shows how to use this high-frequency spiritual energy to create balance and bring about positive change in your life and in someone else’s life.

The home study course provides practical techniques for eliminating troublesome behavior and habits that can bring you down or impact your family in a negative way. Also included are suggestions on how to direct the violet flame into situations and conditions outside of oneself.

Here are five ways to use the violet flame:

1. Revitalize a relationship or heal non-forgiveness by visualizing the violet flame around both of you.

2. Direct the violet light into any physical condition that needs healing.

3. Saturate all aspects of an upcoming meeting at work: see the people, the agenda and the outcomes all radiating with violet light and recite a violet flame mantra for the event.

4. See your household, your neighborhood, the town where you live, the nation, even the entire planet saturated in violet flame while giving a simple violet flame decree.

5. Watch the news on television and as the images of war and disaster flash on your screen, see them inundated in violet flame and give a violet flame decree directing it into that event for the best outcome possible in any situation.

Try reciting this violet flame decree as you visualize the situation you desire to impact:

Violet Fire, thou Love divine,
Blaze within this heart of mine!
Thou art Mercy forever true,
Keep me always in tune with you (3x)

Examples of how to direct the violet light into specific conditions by repeating a mantra:

*       I AM a being of violet fire, I AM the purity God desires.
*       Justin is a being of violet fire, Justin is the purity God desires.
*       Amanda is a being of violet fire, Amanda is the purity God desires.
*       Baghdad is a city of violet fire, Baghdad is the purity God desires.
*       My kidney is an organ of violet fire, my kidney is the purity God desires.

To make it appealing, the Sacred Adventure Series is divided into two parts and covers such topics as your divine origin, karma (the good, the bad and the balanced), reincarnation, the ascension and soul travel to help you heal at night while you sleep.

If you don’t have time for a study course, there is also a small pocket guide Violet Flame to Heal Body, Mind and Soul that includes true stories about the violet flame and suggestions for ways to use it in your life—from healing the tiniest cell to impacting world affairs.

A Bygone era, of technical Expertise. Now with the advent of the Computer and the Internet, people don' focus on the Visual Reality as much as the Visual Virtuality. All our art is slowly moving to the net, and some of them cannot even be experienced without the "window" into the Net. But there was a time when artists and architects strived to create the unreal inside of a very real space.

Notice the ceiling at St Jakobs is actually Flat. And this effect of a dome shape is quite effective, irrespective of which angle you view it from , provided it is from a distance, as it is from the ground to the ceiling.

The One at Florence is more visually detailed, and actually gives the viewer a ringed effect.

Enjoy and have a great day ahead!

It amazes me its been only 40 yrs since the Apollo 11 mission to the moon. It is a tribute to humankind perseverance and drive to withstand such extreme conditions in order to discover. Take a look at the Apollo 11 guidance computer. This computer put humans on the moon and if your familiar with today's computer terminology it was running at a blazing 1 mhz. Dollar store calculators have faster processing speed than this!! Plus this computer had a whopping 2k of memory and 32k or storage!!.  Funny thing is you can actually build this computer in your basement. Check out the link at the bottom of the article

In social structures, relationships that 'could be' are as important or more important than those that are already there. Ron Burt (2005, etc) refers to such 'empty spaces' as "structural holes" - holes that provide opportunities for new relationships as well as access to new information and new resources. This notion is not new. Lao Tzu refers to such things in the Tao Te Ching as early as 200 BC:

Thirty spokes share the wheel's hub;
It is the center hole that makes it useful.
Shape clay into a vessel;
It is the space within that makes it useful.
Cut doors and windows for a room;
It is the holes which make it useful.
Therefore profit comes from what is there;
Usefulness from what is not there.
