Half Marathon
I started increasing my miles a couple of weeks ago to work up to a half marathon on Dec 31st. It's not really going that well. I did 50 minutes on Tue, and I didn't feel that great, although I could have gone a little farther.I have succeeded in doing this for the last five (I think) years, so I can't blow it this year.Troy
Maryland 5K Breast Cancer Run
I was so proud of my sister! It was her first charity run ever, and she ran the whole thing. I kept taking pictures of her while she ran, but she would want these memories of her doing this. Now to drag her to do the Cherry Blossom Ten Miler in March with me....
5K explore the shared areas
5K have had lots of fun today exploring the shared areas. In year 6 we learnt about a greener future and thought about how technology is developing. Ther are some great inventions out there! In year 1 we had lots of fun making bookmarks and photoframes out of used materials and in year 2 we counter orangutans whilst learning about deforestation. We are looking forward to this afternoon as we have a speaker coming in to talk to us about protecting the reef and the issues surrounding shark fin soup.
