The Posterous API allows third party applications and services to interact with Posterous.com.
What can I do with it?
Right now you can use the Posterous API to create new posts on a Posterous site using Posterous or Twitter credentials. You can post all media types and it will be hosted correctly. You can also get feeds for Posterous sites, including all media. We'll be rolling out other functionality over time. If there's something specific you're looking for, please let us know.
